If you have not logged into to SOAS before, or were a deferred student, you must first change your default/original password to a new password of your own choice, and then setup Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in order to keep your email and SOAS data secure. Please read the important password criteria details below before attempting to change your password.

IMPORTANT - Password Criteria:

All new passwords must be a minimum of 12 characters in length
They must NOT contain the user's account name or parts of the user's full name
Passwords must contain characters from all four of the following categories:
- English uppercase characters (A-Z)
- English lowercase characters (a-z)
- Numeric digits (0-9)
- Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !,$,#,%)

Step 1:
Login to the SOAS Microsoft 365 Account Settings using the user name and default password you were given

Step 2:
You will automatically be asked to setup your MFA secure authentication details - you cannot skip this step

Step 3:
After you have changed your password, setup MFA you can then login to the Online Student Services below, remembering to use your new password that you have set.

Returning/existing students can continue to access the website using their login details.

The Sign-In below only requires your Student ID, not your full email address.

Welcome to SOAS Online Student Services

SOAS Online Student Services allows you to enrol online, retrieve your exam results and various other SOAS Services.

You can sign in using your SOAS 6-digit Student ID (This is the 6-digit student number on your library card) and password. This is now the same password you use for SOAS PCs, Course Sign-up and most other SOAS Services.

The login issue should now be resolved, but it may take a few hours for all accounts to be corrected. Please contact IT Support if you continue to experience problems accessing Online Services.
